Visitors from Japan: LIR welcomes researchers from Tohoku University

On September 22 and 23, 2025, the LIR welcomed researchers from Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan) to Mainz. Together with representatives from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) and Mainz University Medical Center (UM), they discussed current topics in resilience research and opportunities for future collaboration.

The focus was on exploring joint research projects that will deepen scientific exchange between Mainz and Sendai in the long term and further strengthen international networking in resilience research.

The LIR is delighted to welcome the visitors from Japan and extends a warm welcome to the researchers from Sendai in Mainz.
